  3. That was supposed to say "Also", for some reason the page just decided to ignore my first four keystrokes before accepting messages.

  4. Also also, that looks less like a pizza and more like a raspberry tart.

As in the Arnott's kind. Not the proper baked kind.

  20. Are you planning on starting "OctoPizza"? 'cause people will be disapointed if there isn't any octopus on it, or there aren't 8 of them...But if it was 8 slices people might like it.

  23. Oh my dear sweet Jeebus. I love your comics, I just read all of them, and I dearly hope that you'll continue updating. Don't be so hard on yourself, and don't listen to the nitpickers. This is a comic about puns. We don't care if the octopuses (octopi?) are leprous, or if the art isn't perfect. :P

  43. Hey Oktie, what's with wanting anger? I don't know if it's really healthy to want it. But hey, I assume you're an adult.

I find it odd that no one has expreesed anger. I mean, threats are not the same as anger. Not that I want to get into some flame war about feelings and emotions and stuff, and their expressions. Heavens no.

But it really gets to me, that so many people can't even define a emotion. They burst out, with their crying or their threats or even thier joy, without even knowing where it comes from. It gets me on such a basic level, I can hardly breathe for rage. I am deeply cut by the lack of any sort of self-awareness, lack of self control, and lack of ability to type it into a simple comment box on a web page.

In fact my sorrow and pity for the poor minds is bounded only by the sky. And it pains me, and that pain turns into rage when I think that such posts think that an internal injury can be mitigated by a threat to a person drawing a cartoon. For heaven's sake.

Anger, dear misguided posters, is what Oktie wants. If Oktie wanted threats, he would ask for threats.

And maybe if Oktie gets anger, Oktie will do as he promised, instead of paining us with broken promises and hurtful denial.

Really, Oktie, it hurts, and I can barely hold the screams of rage inside my head, my heart, my soul. Get off you smelly mouth (you all know where an octopus' mouth is, right?) and draw us a comic. Holding us in the lurch isn't right. My resentment and indignation overflow and drip onto the screen, and I hope it bleeds into your keyboard as you sit on your "face" typing things that you seem to feel are more important than us, your faithful readers.

I normally don't use smileys and such, because they are very poor conveyors of emotions. That's why words were invented. But here, now that I've said it in words, I scrawl a frown above my signature.

    >:C

PS This is my first visit to this comic, it was recommnded today by an acquaintance.

PPS My name is not Anne.

  54. Before Oktie starts ripping tendons and ligaments with his typical knee-jerk reaction to my letters, he should realize that his operatives have cooperated closely with anal-retentive whiners on several projects. First and foremost, he has been petitioning lawmakers to criminalize statements made about him that are excessively truthful. I explained the reason for that just a moment ago. If you don't mind, though, I'll go ahead and explain it again. To begin with, I have never read reasoning more absurd or sophistry more gross than that used by Oktie to convince people that Chekism is a noble goal. We can therefore extrapolate that I want nothing more—or less—than to empower the oppressed to control their own lives. To that task I have consecrated my life and I invite you to do likewise.

While I profess that Oktie has every right to his vindictive opinions, he places his indelible imprimatur upon a form of factionalism that is fundamentally, pervasively, and inescapably incorrigible. Well, that's getting away from my main topic, which is that if Oktie doesn't realize that it's generally considered bad style to trample over the very freedoms and rights that he claims to support, then he should read one of the many self-help books on the subject. I recommend he buy one with big print and lots of pictures. Maybe then Oktie will grasp the concept that the last time I heard him ramble on in his characteristically bibulous blather he said something about wanting to lay all of society open to the predations of organized criminality. I feel sorry for the human race when I hear stuff like that.

Oktie says that governments should have the right to lie to their own subjects or to other governments. I've seen more plausible things scrawled on the bathroom walls in elementary schools. Prudence is no vice. Cowardice—especially his oleaginous form of it—is.

Oktie justifies his thievery by saying things like, "It's for the good of society". I submit that everyone should stop and mull that assertion. Then, people will understand why Oktie is extraordinarily brazen. We've all known that for a long time. However, his willingness to use organized violence to suppress opposition sets a new world record for brazenness. So we're supposed to give him permission to exploit public sympathy in order to bolster support for his corrupt screeds and hope he's rational enough not to do so? How naïve!

Oktie's most progressive idea is to turn the social order upside-down so that the dregs on the bottom become the scum on the top. If that sounds progressive to you, you must be facing the wrong way. Oktie seems completely incapable of understanding that he wants me to stop trying to encourage open, civic engagement. Instead, he'd rather I have a conniption. Sorry, but I don't accept defeat that easily. Now that you've read this letter, let me challenge you, the reader, not just to help me remove the misunderstanding that Oktie has created in the minds of myriad people throughout the world, but also to educate others about what I've written.
